Vice President, Business and Candidate Development, Carlsen Resources, Inc
Danielle Brown is Vice President of Business and Candidate Development with Carlsen Resources, Inc. (CRI), responsible for executive recruiting as well as sales and business development.
Danielle joined CRI in 2015. Her diligence in identifying each client company’s unique requirements and her skill at identifying the ideal combination of candidate talent and character that will meet those requirements combine to yield impressive results. She is dedicated to delivering candidates who will help her clients achieve their goals. Candidates, likewise, appreciate her commitment to their career success.
Passionate about the media industry, Danielle brings deep knowledge of digital products and services to her work at Carlsen Resources. Her unique perspective has been valuable in a number of challenging searches. Before joining the company, she worked at Pivot TV, a millennial-focused cable network. She enjoys being part of the dynamic, constantly evolving world of media. She says the industry’s energy is reflected in the fast-moving atmosphere at CRI, and she takes great personal satisfaction in contributing to Carlsen’s exceptional reputation with clients and candidates alike.
Danielle graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in Communication Studies and minor in Spanish language, business and cultures. She studied in Barcelona, where she developed a love of travel. She is a fan of live music, an enthusiastic cook, and loves the diversity of her community in Astoria, Queens.
Vice President, Business and Strategy, Carlsen Resources, Inc
McKenna Cyphers is Vice President of Candidate Development and Strategy with Carlsen Resources, Inc. (CRI), responsible for recruiting and developing executive candidates for client companies.
McKenna joined CRI with a background in media and a deep understanding of the new talent marketplace and changing workforce requirements. Before joining CRI, she managed affiliate sales for Participant Media. Her client focus, collaborative approach, and innate ability to recognize potential in others enable her to uncover up-and-coming talent, deliver exceptional candidates to meet each employer’s unique culture and needs, and support long-term success for clients and candidates.
She builds strong relationships and is tireless in her pursuit of the ideal person for each position. McKenna’s results speak for themselves. She enthusiastically endorses CRI’s diligence and high-touch approach.
A Colorado State University graduate, McKenna holds a BA in Journalism and Media Communication with a Business minor. She lives in New York City, where she enjoys yoga, reading, and playing with her rescue dog, Pippa.
Executive Vice President, Search Management & Research, Carlsen Resources, Inc
Executive Vice President of Search Management and Research, Reneé Hauch leads CRI’s highly regarded research team in its work analyzing media and telecommunications trends and vetting candidates. A veteran of the executive search industry since 1991, she joined Carlsen Resources, Inc. in 2001 identifying and recruiting exceptional senior-level talent specifically for media content companies. Expert in all facets of the executive search process from creating a strategic search plan to recruiting and negotiation, Renee serves as a trusted liaison between client and candidate and, in doing so, drives the best possible matches between them, which in turn impacts the overall success of CRI’s client companies.
A dedicated student of media as a market sector, Renee is exceptionally knowledgeable about current issues in the industry, cultivating that knowledge base through her active involvement in organizations including Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). She is often tapped as a speaker on content related recruiting and organizational development.
Prior to joining Carlsen, Renee was a recruiter for Bishop Partners, where she led cable, technology and publishing searches and managed the research department. She began her executive search career as an associate with Gilbert Tweed Associates where she conducted research and led search efforts for energy, utility and chemical companies. She also worked in corporate marketing and public relations with Merkle Computer Systems and the Urban Land Institute. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Virginia Tech University and holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
