Career Catalyst Award

Established in 2018, The WICT Network: New York Career Catalyst Award was created to salute a chapter member who has demonstrated exemplary mentorship in the industry and in the New York metro area. The honoree must have a history of mentoring individuals, participating in or leading organized mentoring programs and being a champion for mentorship.

2019 Recipent - Margaret G. Kim

Margaret G. Kim is the Founder and President of iSTAND Media, LLC and iSTANDtv, a global multi- platform network, content studio and community hub for young people (ages 18-34), who believe in the power of media and want to use that power for good. Featuring the best in short documentaries, films, music, comedy, talk shows and animation from the U.S. and around the world, iSTANDtv’s goal is to promote compelling stories that come from a perspective of hope and authenticity.

2018 Recipent - Sara Clark

Sara Clarke, Senior Vice President, corporate strategy, analysis and collaboration at Showtime Networks and an active member of the New York chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications, was the first named recipient of the WICT New York Career Catalyst Award. Sara has mentored more than a dozen women in WICT and she more than fulfills that criteria, according to chapter president Monica Bloom. Sara received the award on March 22nd, 2018 at the 20th anniversary Wonder Women luncheon in New York, the annual Multichannel News event that WICT New York co-sponsors.
