Previously voted as Top Chapter Programs in Mentoring and Coaching, all three programs provide an opportunity for networking, career and personal development, enhanced leadership skills and improved confidence. Mentoring Circle

Your career

A dynamic group mentoring program including approximately 12 mentees selected to participate in monthly sessions led by media, entertainment or technology industry leaders.

  • - Active Members with 5 years or less of experience, preferably in the media, entertainment or technology industry and below Director level.

    - Completed application and statement of support from your supervisor indicating that you have your company’s approval to participate in the program

  • - Approximately 7 months from March to September.

    - Mentees commit to about one session per month.

  • - Share your experiences in a comfortable and interactive group setting

    - Make valuable connections with other industry professionals

    - Learn key career-building skills from senior industry colleagues

    - Get a head start with tips on avoiding early career pitfalls

The Mentoring Circle was the perfect forum to discuss strategies for career advancement with like-minded women. If you have the opportunity to be a part of the circle, do not pass it up! It was valuable to hear about the goals, successes, and struggles that women in my industry experience. The Mentoring Circle provided the perfect opportunity to discuss all of these topics in a productive and intimate setting. I admired all of the mentors who shared their career timelines with us. The mentors were honest and heartfelt and they were open books when it came to answering mentees’ questions.

I’m grateful for the WICT Mentoring Circle Program. I had a wonderful experience and I learned so much. Even though 2020 is an unorthodox year for the program, I still feel my relationships with these women, mentors and mentees alike, is as tangible as it ever could have been. There were so many elements that I found of value, but I actually think the concept of Fear Setting was my favorite. I love anything that can help me look at my goals from a new perspective.

Prime Access

Inspiring, motivating and encouraging future leaders!

A unique one-to-one mentoring opportunity for 12 rising leaders to be paired with mentors who can help guide them to achieve their specific goals.

  • MENTEES:

    Active Members at the Senior Manager or Director levels with 8 -10 years experience

    Completed application and one letter of recommendation

    MENTORS:

    A senior media, entertainment or technology industry executive with time to devote to your mentee on a monthly basis.

  • - Approximately 7 months from March to September.

    - Mentees commit to one to two meetings per month with your Mentor.

    - Numerous group learning sessions over the course of the program.

  • - Facilitated informational workshops throughout the program.

    - The WICT Network: New York reference tools with recommended discussion topics, career management approaches and other materials.

    - Regular check-ins with program liaison who will track your mentoring partnership progress.

    - Networking events to provide opportunities to meet other mentors and mentees from current and past program years.

    - Meaningful connections with respected senior executives

    - Essential industry knowledge and practical “survival” tips

    - Managerial skills development

    - Reinforcement of existing talents and strengths

  • Mentor/Mentee pairings are carefully matched. Mentees work with their mentors to define a specific career-oriented goal at the onset of the program, and develop a plan to achieve that goal during their time together.
